Erin

I find myself smiling every time I see this video! A few years ago I lived in Thailand and it was there that I learned how much of a difference an emphasis on beauty can add to a culture. And I'm not talking about a feminine ideal but beauty in everything. I remember one time being sick in the hospital with some unidentifiable tropical illness. A friend came to visit me after work but before she came, she went home to wash and change so that when she came to see me, she could bring some freshness, calmness and beauty into the room instead of a more frazzled energy from a long, hot day of work. She also brought me fruit that she specially picked out to balance the tastes of the medications I was being given. During that moment, I learned to appreciate attending to beauty in a different way. Thank you Nam Fon for the learnings! And thanks to you for asking the question "Helping people find healthier and greener lives is important, but are there beautiful ways to do it?" I'm going to give that some thought.

you can save some gas by being very gentle on the brake and accelerator. drive like there is a glass of water on the dashboard. you'll also save wear and tear on your brakes. and if you have an iphone, there's an app for that.
